These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and all custom orders placed with Backstep Supply Company. By accessing this site, submitting an order form, approving an estimate, or paying an invoice, you agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, your department or organization.

Backstep Supply Company operates this site from Northern Illinois and is legally referred to as “Backstep Supply Company,” a DBA.

1. Website Use and General Terms

1.1 Acceptance of Terms

By using this website, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1.2 Website Functionality

This website is hosted on Nixihost and built on WordPress using Elementor and Gravity Forms. Some pages may link externally to Shopify, where separate terms govern purchases made on that platform.

1.3 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.

2. Custom Orders and Scope of Work

Backstep Supply Company produces items exclusively based on the written details you provide on your order form and invoice. Any service, feature, or modification not specifically listed in writing is not included in this scope.

3. Accuracy of Information Provided

You are fully responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is complete and correct, including but not limited to:

4. Order Confirmation and Final Review

Before you submit the order form or pay the invoice, you must carefully review all names, badge numbers, ranks, spellings, quantities, and customization details.

Submitting the order and payment confirms that all information is correct and approved for production. Any changes requested afterward may not be possible, and if allowed, may incur additional charges and extended lead times.

5. Custom Nature and Non Refundable Status

All products created under this order are fully custom and made to order for your department.
Once you submit the order and payment:

6. Payment Terms

Full payment is required upon approval of your estimate or invoice unless a different arrangement is agreed to in writing before production begins.

Production will not begin until payment has posted. If partial payments or deposits are allowed, all outstanding balances must be paid in full before the order is delivered or shipped.

Pricing does not include sales tax or payment processing fees unless clearly stated. These will be added when applicable.

7. Pricing and Quote Validity

Quotes and estimates remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Pricing is based on:

Changes to quantity, design, or materials after approval may require updated pricing.

8. Production Timeline

Estimated production timelines begin only after:

  1. All details are confirmed, and
  2. Full payment has been received.

Production timelines are in business days and do not include weekends, holidays, or shipping time. Backstep Supply Company will make reasonable efforts to meet deadlines but is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, supply chain issues, or factors outside of our control.

9. Shipping, Delivery, and Risk of Loss

Orders may be shipped or picked up locally. Shipping charges, if applicable, will be shown on the invoice or applied at the time of shipment.

Once an order is transferred to a shipping carrier, risk of loss transfers to you. Backstep Supply Company is not responsible for:

10. Inspection and Reporting of Issues

You must inspect your order immediately upon pickup or delivery. Any visible issues, including shortages, damage, or obvious defects, must be reported within 3 calendar days along with:

11. Limited Craftsmanship Warranty

All items in this bundle include a limited 12 month craftsmanship warranty beginning on the date of delivery. This warranty covers peeling, separation, or failure under normal use.

Warranty claims require clear photos and order details. Backstep Supply Company may repair or replace the item at its discretion.

12. Materials and Color Variations

Raw materials may be globally sourced, final engraving and customization occur in the United States. Variations in color, finish, or texture may occur between digital previews and final products. These natural variations are not considered defects.

13. Use of Logos, Images, and Identifying Marks

By placing an order, you confirm that you are authorized to request and approve the use of:

14. Changes, Cancellations, and Rescheduling

Because this is a custom order, cancellations after payment are generally not allowed.

If production has not started, Backstep Supply Company may, at its discretion, allow a cancellation or revision. Fees may apply to cover completed labor and design work.

Once production begins, cancellations cannot be accepted.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

16. Indemnification and Hold Harmless

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Backstep Supply Company and its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from:

17. Attorneys’ Fees, Collection Costs, and Other Fees
